About Books for Experts
About Books for Lawyers
This isn’t a marketing agency. It’s a rebellion.
We exist to humanize lawyers, eliminate bland content, and build real authority – the kind that outlasts algorithms, ad trends, and gimmicks.
If you’re a law firm owner tired of shouting into the digital void, tired of AI slop, and tired of sounding like everyone else – then you’ve just found your edge.

From the Courtroom to the Craft
I’m Carl Taylor – lawyer, publisher, business owner, strategist, and published author with bylines in some of the worlds most prestigious fiction magazines.
For over 15 years, I practiced law. I build a thriving family law firm, argued cases, and closed deals. But I also wrote – stories, essays, and later, books for my own practice and content for other attorneys. I’ve worked at a top agency ghostwriting for high-level lawyers. I’ve helped professionals turns scattered expertise into clear authority – the kind that attracts premium clients and referrals.
I’m the creator and host of A Lawyer’s Journey, a national podcast where attorneys and experts explore the stories and strategies behind sustainable authority.
Today, I run Books for Experts – a boutique authority-building press designed to help lawyers do what few every truly achieve: to own their story and build a legacy that lasts.
Why books still matter (more than ever)
Books Create Instant Trust
People believe authors. Books position you as a guide - not just another voice in the crowd.
Books make you unforgettable
Ads vanish. Stories stick. A great book keeps working for you long after its published.
Ai Reads Everything
Even if humans skim, AI doesn’t. And AI ranks what lasts - depth, authorship, structure. Books signal real authority.
This isn't "Vanity" Publishing
We don’t crank out filler. We don’t chase trends. And we sure as hell don’t do cookie-cutter books.
We build premium authority assets – books that turn your lived experience into lead flow. Books that drive referrals, media invites, speaking engagements, and real visibility.
Because in today’s commoditized legal market, your story isn’t just worth telling – it’s your competitive edge.
